Four locations were chosen to perform the simulations by Planning Board. <here>   Comments on Carvel Property Development, Pine Plains United (April, 2007)      SEQRA/CEQR Technical Review of Carvel Property Development Preliminary Draft Environmental Impact Statement in the towns of Pine Plains and Milan, Dutchess County, New York At the request of Pine Plains United, the Environmental Simulation Center (ESC) examined materials produced in Chapter 7 and Appendix 7.1 of the Carvel PDEIS document. The ESC submitted its review by a letter addressed to the Planning Board of Town of Pine Plains   Town of Southampton, Planning Board (January, 2007)      Letter      Presentation The ESC presented to the Town of Southampton Planning board about the use of visual simulation in the SEQR process.   West 61st Street Rezoning and Citywide General Large-Scale Development Text Amendment (December, 2006)      Department of City Planning : Final Environmental Impact Statement      Community Board Presentation (September 2006) The ESC performed shadow studies and illustrative diagrams for proposed and alternative development options. The ESC also created a real-time 3D model of the project area for community members to see and evaluate the proposed projects impacts. This model and static images from the model were used in community board presentations and Department of City Planning meetings.   Comments on Atlantic Yards Arena and Redevelopment Project (September, 2006)      SEQRA/CEQR Technical Review of Atlantic Yards Arena and Redevelopment Project Draft Environmental Impact Statement Kings County, New York At the request of the Council of Brooklyn Neighborhoods (CBN), the Environmental Simulation Center, Ltd. (ESC) joined the team conducting a review of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Atlantic Yards Arena and Redevelopment Project Draft (DEIS) that was produced in July 2006. The ESC's review was of Chapters 8 and 9 of the DEIS, focusing specifically on Visual Resources and Shadows. The ESC also created an interactive website found here.   22 East 23rd Street Shadow Analysis (August, 2006)      Shadow Analysis for the proposed and alternative as-of-right buildings The Environmental Simulation Center (ESC) performed two sets of shadow analyses, one for the proposed as-of-right building, and one for an alternative as-of-right building that reflected an assumption that the entire site had been cleared.   City of Kingston Planning Board Hearing (March, 2006)      Sailor's Cove on the Hudson: Review of "Visual Character" and "Visual Analysis" In this analysis, the ESC reviews Visual Character and Visual Analysis of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) produced for Sailor's Cove on the Hudson.   (June, 2004)      The Landing at Kingston and Ulster: Review of "Visual Resource Assessment" In this analysis, the ESC reviews the Visual Resource Assessment of the Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement (DGEIS) produced for The Landing at Kingston and Ulster.   NYC Small Business Services Hearing (February, 2006)      Gowanus Canal Industrial Business Zone (IBZ): Testimony and Presentation These two documents explain the need to use sound data sources when implementing land use policy decisions. Specifically, the ESC examines a field survey and compares it to New York City's official database of land uses, Primary Land Use Tax Lot Output (PLUTO).   Brooklyn Bridge Park Hearing (September 19, 2005)      Testimony      Brooklyn Bridge Park: Technical Review of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS)      Errata to written comments      Photomontages The ESC reviews the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Brooklyn Bridge Park, focusing most heavily on Land Use, Zoning and Public Policy; Shadows; Historic Resources; and Urban Design and Visual Resources. This review focuses on the materials presented in the DEIS and if these materials accurately and completely describe the action and disclose its impact to the public.   Zoning Analysis of Proposed R7A District in Central Riverdale (September 21, 2004)      Presentation The ESC did an analysis of the proposed R7A District in Central Riverdale and identified the possible non-complying buildings under the proposed rezoning.   No. 7 Subway Extension and Hudson Yards Rezoning (July, 2004)      Department of City Planning : Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement      Proposed Hudson Yards Rezoning Photomontages The ESC performed shadows studies and verifiable photomontages for the proposed No. 7 Subway Extension and Hudson Yards Rezoning and Development FGEIS.    Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission Meeting (June 23, 2003)      Presentation The ESC prepared materials for the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine to support the landmarking the Cathedral as a New York City Landmark.
